Who this site is for
The advisor is built for international visitors planning a short or medium-length trip to China who want mobile data without comparing dozens of nearly identical packages. It is not a mobile operator, reseller, payment processor, or customer-support desk.
How recommendations work
Device readiness comes first. A compatible, unlocked phone can then be matched by trip length, expected data use, and daily hotspot needs. Fixed-data plans generally suit measurable light or standard use; unlimited phone data may suit heavy use; heavy tethering is treated separately because an unlimited headline may still include a hotspot limit.
Each result shows a primary choice, an alternative, why each may fit, and the limitation most likely to change the decision. Commission is not a ranking input. The full rules are published in the methodology.
Evidence standard
Plan facts are taken from provider product pages and device guidance from manufacturers or provider help centers. Results link to the original source and show the date it was checked. Prices automatically become “Check current price” when the stored information is older than the freshness window. ChinaSIMGuide does not describe provider service as independently tested unless that testing has actually occurred.
